Trumpf TruLaser Cell 7040 Fiber Optic Laser
In 2017, Impel acquired a considerable upgrade in laser cutting technology. Designed for highly productive manufacturing for both 2D and 3D laser cutting. This system offers excellent process reliability that cuts down on the need to replace laser nozzles and great operator convenience with the moveable control panel that is capable of traversing the entire length of the machine.
With 4000mm of X Axis Travel Range, 1500mm of Y Axis Travel Range and 750mm of Z Axis Travel Range, this laser cutting marvel can fit a car side body within it’s cutting envelope, but is also capable of precise cuts with a positions accurace of 0.08mm in all Axis and 0.015 degrees on its rotary axis on parts as small as a dime in size.
For production and pre-fill work, the laser can be ran 24/7 utilizing Two-Station partition wall, allowing a rack of parts to be put into place on one side of the machine, while it is processing parts on the other side of the dividing wall.
Future proofed, the TruLaser Laser Cell technology makes it possible to bring in an additional cutting area, such as a 2D Laser Blanking system, allowing for blanks to be cut in high speed, with high accuracy, while the larger 3D cutting is being loaded/unloaded of parts, seemlessly switching between the two at the operator’s request. Additionally, the system is capable of having a laser weld feature added, within the existing 3D Cutting envelope that is capable of virtually spatter-free laser welding.
